My nomination for Quote of the Night from Plainfield Councilor Adrian Mapp's town hall meeting at the Plainfield Public Library last evening would be this, from remarks made by Assemblyman Jerry Green to the 40-or so attendees --
"One of the things I have tried to do over the past few years is keep the city out of trouble."Going on to speak of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) situation, in which the Robinson-Briggs administration has 90 days to find and appoint a CFO (with the possibility of a 90-day extension), Green added that --
"without a CFO in place, [Plainfield] will not qualify for [state] grants."Just another day in the Robinson-Briggs administration, I guess.

Doesn't he represent more than Plainfield?
I never hear that he has his grubby mits in any other area.
Really...seriously..."HE" has been trying to keep Plainfield out of trouble..yet gives us Assistant Mayor Sharon...
It's my understanding that there are 300 people in NJ qualified to hold this position, and over 500 municipalities that require them. How are the other 200 municipalities managing this problem?
@1:18PM -- You must not have attended the Town Hall. Mapp gave out figures. There are 865 active CMFO licenses for 566 communities.
Though some have the credential and have taken on other duties, it is clear that there ARE some CFOs out there.
