YouTube is certainly making the world a smaller place -- to the delight of some and the chagrin of others.
Craig Bazan, a student at Camden's Creative Arts HS, so inspired a visiting film professional that he recorded Craig in a vacant lot, reciting Hamlet's soliloquoy, and posted it to YouTube. The rest, as they say, is history -- the young man is now much in demand for interviews -- and his video has had over 300,000 views.
Cory Booker is also a YouTube star, though not to his delight, I'm sure. Caught on tape at a Dem fundraiser in Summit on May 30 making unflattering references to the late long-time Newark housing activist Judith Diggs, he was driven to a pubic apology to the Diggs family and the Newark City Council after the tape surfaced on -- can you guess? -- YouTube.
Nonfamy? Well, it may not be a word, but the third YouTube phenom is 'Chunky Pam' a full-figured white woman, who raps in defense of Jersey on YouTube. A very interesting tale, wryly humorous, but it turns out Pam is a non-person -- hence 'nonfamy'.
Check them out for yourself.
