While Plainfield's official website may be back up, email delivered to 'plainfield.com' mailboxes appears to be lost in space -- cyberspace, that is.
Meeting a reader at the NNO Ward 2 Challenge event last evening -- she and her husband moved to Plainfield about a year ago -- gave us both a chance to compare notes on the 'new' website.
Verdict: You can't call it new, but it's at least something.
Meanwhile, on checking my mail late last night, I got the bounceback you see at top of post. Notice that it was undelivered for two days. I also heard from someone else that they had the same problem with another recipient.
Those city employees using private email account (Yahoo!, Hotmail, etc.) are getting their mail OK.
Though whether they should be conducting city business on private email accounts is another matter entirely (echoes of the Karl Rove predicament).
How come other towns don't have all these issues?
