Word just in that Plainfield Board of Ed member Christian Estevez has been appointed by Gov. Jon Corzine to the 18-member panel set up by executive order to make recommendations regarding the role of the state of New Jersey in relation to its immigrants.
The story -- though not the governor's appointments -- was covered in today's Ledger [see here]. The panel's report is expected within a few months.
Congratulations, Christian!
