Plainfield's SID (Special Improvement District) will celebrate Sale Days from Thursday through Saturday in both the Downtown and South Avenue shopping districts.
Downtown stores will have an old-fashioned sidewalk sale, with merchandise offered for sale in the open air.
On Friday, from 4 - 7 PM, there will be a free concert on the plaza at the County office building featuring The Toys, an R&B band, and Los Productivos, a Latino band. The concert is sponsored by the SID.
During the concert, the Tri-County Red Cross will conduct a blood drive and provide health information.
Saturday, a clown will stroll the Downtown shopping area from Noon to 3 PM, making balloon animals for youngsters.
