Plainfield's National Night Out 2007 weeks of events continues today with the Ward 3 Challenge.
As one of their community building activities, Third ward residents will join together at 10 AM both today and tomorrow to clean up the historic Baptist and Methodist cemeteries on Plainfield Avenue. Though originally begun as burial grounds by early congregations of those denominations, the cemeteries have long been bothered by neglect, overgrowth and vandalism.
The day's activities also include a clothing drive and will conclude with a neighborhood walking tour and block party, starting at 6:30 PM at 130 Pemberton Avenue.
Saturday activities include a Bike Rodeo in Library Park, starting at 11 AM.
