First impressions count. When I was selling Plainfield real estate full-time, I would plan how to drive customers into the city so as to take the most attractive approach to whatever neighborhood we were looking at, trying to minimize glaringly shabby houses and unkempt yards along some of the main streets into town.
I was struck how much of that has changed when driving in along Norwood Avenue from Route 22 recently.
At Front Street, where Norwood becomes Richmond, a visitor is treated to the attractive, flower-filled yards seen in the slideshow below.
A refreshing -- and welcome -- 'welcome' sign.
