Today's New York Times profiles a small-town preacher who leads a double life.
If no one knew before today, the world certainly will now.
But this is not a tale of hookers and drugs. This is a tale of hope, activism and connecting.
The Rev. Daniel Schultz -- Pastor Dan -- of Salem United Church of Christ is also the moving force behind Street Prophets, a blog community of the Daily Kos, the wildly popular Democratic blog started by Markos 'Kos' Moulitsas, godfather of the Dem 'netroots' community.
Street Prophets provides a venue for religious folk who are also Democrats (or is it the other way around?) to share concerns, promote issues, lobby for action and generally raise hell.
Pastordan's current post, "Politics as usual", is a case in point. About an old political sport called defenestration. Read it and chuckle.
Or maybe start looking for a manure pile near the White House.
