Carriage House converted to a two-family.
The graciously adapted Carriage House in yesterday's Hidden Plainfield segment was correctly identified by reader Olive Lynch as being in the 700-block of Field Avenue.
Re-imagined as a two-family dwelling, it sits directly behind the Victorian to which it once belonged, which is on the corner of West 8th Street and Field Avenue.
The Carriage House must have been designed somewhat later than its Victorian 'parent' as the styles differ greatly.
