Congratulations, Bibi!

C O N G R A T S

B I B I !

County Manager George Devanney notified Assemblyman Jerry Green that Bibi Taylor is being appointed finance director for the County of Union (see Jerry's post here). Sources tell me that the offer has been accepted by Ms. Taylor, pending waiver of the county's residency requirement, which is expected to be given at this evening's Board of Chosen Freeholders meetings.

Congratulations and best wishes Bibi, from all your friends in Plainfield.

No offense intended but is Bibi really qualified to be the finance director of a county with a 300 million dollar budget?
And let us not forget that there is no shortage of jerks in the county government who are be trying to cover their tracks at all costs.
Best of luck, Bibi.

While I understand why this county job, almost any job, is better than the circumstances Bibi Taylor dealt with in Plainfield, I am sorry as a citizen and taxpayer to lose a consummate professional.

For all the congratulations due to Ms.Taylor, are we forgetting that Sharon wanted Bibi out of Plainfield. If she couldn't be removed the hard way through dismissal, why not do it the soft way by getting her promoted out of her position? The county pols and the Green Machine are cut from the same cloth, aren't they?

As an aside, what are residency requirements for if they are routinely waived? I want my government workers living where they work. It gives them pride of place which should mean better work.

Dan,

I don't see my not so congratulatory comment. What gives?
