Wayne is suing Passaic County over a plan to sell the publicly-owned Passaic County Golf Course to the Passaic County Improvement Authority for $22M, part of which is to be used to balance the County budget.
Wayne contends the Improvement Authority is bonding to support operations, not capital improvements, and that is contrary to the Public Authority law.
Secondly -- I know this will surprise you -- they contend that the sales price is inflated by nearly 70% over what a Connecticut appraiser holds is its true value. Read more here...
