A free 'mock concert' is scheduled for the new Pru Center/Devils Arena tomorrow afternoon, says today's Ledger.
Though billed as for Newark residents and those who worked on the construction of the building, it DOES NOT say that anyone else cannot attend.
Featured in the concert will be the Newark Boys Choir, Soul Generation, Envy Dance Group, Joy, Herman Olivera Y Sus Amigos and teenage rapper Miss NaNa, according to the Ledger.
The Ledger story continues --
The mock concert is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. There are 8,000 tickets available. Those interested can pick up tickets at the box office at the corner of Edison Place and Mulberry Street tomorrow before the show.
Tickets are also available through the city's department of recreation and council members.
Adams said some of the concession stands will also be open and offering food at discounted prices.
"Come on in and experience the building," he said.
For more information about the concert, please call Terrance Bankston, director of constituent services for the City of Newark at (973) 733-3393.
