Many Plainfielders are also familiar with the Tim Keyes Consort, which has performed often in the Queen City in recent years. This Sunday's program will feature a work by Keyes for soloists, chorus and orchestra, 'St. Patrick's Breastplate'. The poem is attributed to St. Patrick and is familiar to Anglicans as the hymn 'I bind unto myself today the strong name of the Trinity'.
The Consort, directed by Keyes and assisted by Eliza Rus, is comprised of professional and amateur singers and musicians from central New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Solists for Sundays program are Victoria Lotkowicz of Edison, soprano; Daria Dragon of Readington, alto; Justin Connors of Hopelawn, tenor; and Gary Gavula of Trenton, baritone.
The concert will be take place at the Church of St. Bernard of Clairvaux and St. Stanislaus Kostka, beginning at 4:00 PM Sunday. A free-will offering will be taken. The church is located at 1235 George Street at the corner of Emerson Avenue (one block east of Leland Avenue). Parking is available in the church lot across George Street.
