Plainfield's Board of Education will take up the adoption of a $22.7 million local levy budget for the 2013-14 school year at its business meeting Tuesday, March 26.

The budget was discussed previously at its March 4 work-and-study meeting. The agenda for Tuesday's meeting can be found online here (PDF).

The $22.7 million is the amount to be raised from Plainfield taxpayers and represents approximately 15.8% of the total school district budget of $143.95 million. The state has previously announced that the Plainfield schools will receive $121.2 million in state aid for the upcoming school year, an increase of $2.8 million over the 2012-13 funding (see here).

The Board of Ed's business meeting will be held in the PHS Auditorium at 7:00 PM (note the time, an hour earlier than the usual meeting time). Time has been set aside for public comments and questions.
