Mapps open home to all in 'friendraiser' reception Friday evening

Adrian and Amelia Mapp, here shown with Flor Gonzalez of the
Latin American Coalition, distributed over one hundred turkeys
to the community this past Thanksgiving.

Plainfield Councilor Adrian Mapp and his wife Amelia are opening their home to the community in a 'friendraiser' reception Friday evening.

'We had been planning a fundraiser for some time,' Mapp said, 'but with the early decision by the Union County Democratic leadership to give me the line for the Democratic Primary, we wanted to open the event to all our many friends and supporters in the community'.

'We hope that everyone will want to come out and share in the excitement of this moment as well as gear up for the intense campaign that will be faced as all the seats in the Legislature are up in this year's election,' he continued.

Mapp has been a Councilor in Plainfield, representing Ward 3, since 1997, except for a three-year stint as Union County Freeholder.

The slate includes 22nd District legislative candidates Sen. Nick Scutari and Assembly members Jerry Green and Linda Stender.

All are invited to the reception, which will be from 6:00 - 9:00 PM Friday evening at the Mapp home, 535 West 8th Street. Those who wish may make a donation to 'Mapp for Mayor'; more information will be available at the door.

With Mapp running for mayor and Burney sticking his 2cents in I feel really motivated to work for the Independent candidate whom I know personally to be of impeccable character and who has the city of Plainfield and it's people's well being at heart! He is active in the community for it's own sake, not vain glory and photo ops!
