48th Annual Art Festival Saturday

Bev's advice to Art Show shoppers.
Plainfield's 48th Annual Outdoor Festival of Art is slated for tomorrow (Saturday) at Library Park.

Local artist Indira Bailey recently studied in North Africa;
many look forward to her return.

Kids always have a good time, of course.

The free event will feature local artists and craftspersons, with activities for kids plus music and food vendors.

The last few art festivals were anything but. Very few artists and many hawkers of junk and plastic. Since Sharon took over this gem in Plainfield has become an event most people have run away from. Too bad, but I'm lucky I got to enjoy many years of the art show in Plainfield.

The date for the art festival needs to be changed! Most people are celebrating the last holiday weekend that ends our summer at the shore, BBQ with family etc. Someone in the City really needs to review this entire venue to make it back as it once was. People want to see art not clothes and junk the show has turned into a flea market.
