Hidden home of 10/17 apparently isn't so hidden

Respondents knew where Sunday's mystery home is.
Plainfield Today readers who responded on yesterday's 'hidden home' post all recognized it as a house on Arlington Avenue, across from Cedar Brook Park.

See the comments on the post here.

This home and one adjacent to it were the subject of extensive (and expensive) renovations a couple of years ago (hope the added debt hasn't put them 'under water').

Homes in this block surely have one of the nicest vistas in Plainfield, looking across the sport fields at Cedar Brook Park.

I have long marveled that realtors don't make more of a fuss over the neighborhood, which also includes a cul de sac of well-maintained split-levels on Cedar Court.

Note to Rob: Drive by it almost every day, just happened that particular day that -- like Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard -- she was 'ready for her closeup'.
