Jerry congratulates Rebecca?

Assemblyman Green's curbs are bedecked with Williams signs this morning.

Did Plainfield's Dem committee chair congratulate successful candidate Rebecca Williams after all?

Could be.

A reader alerted me early this AM that the curbs along both sides of the Assemblyman's home at Prospect and Woodland Avenues were festooned with Williams for Council signs.

Nice touch, Assemblyman.

And this will help Plainfield how?

Or, supporters of Rebecca could have placed them there to make a point. If the signs are still there throughout the day then maybe Jerry did place them there and I would agree that he showed some class.

More proof that the New Dems ran against Jerry and not Rashid.

Plainfield will suffer because of the loss of a true leader.

By 2:30 in the afternoon all campaign signs had been removed, both Williams and Burney. Perhaps it was just a prank by an over-enthusiastic Rebecca supporter.

That's about the most childish thing you've ever done--you've beaten your own record.

And I bet you won't post this.

Or perhaps it was a prank by an over-enthusiastic Jerry supporter to get a story in the paper....

Jerry said in his blog that Rebecca's 800 votes shows a lack of support as he got 5500 votes in 2/3 last year. Maybe he's talking about the general election. My quick research showed that he got 4006 across the entire district in the primary- fewer than Linda Stender.

I agree with Jerry - people who don't understand math shouldn't be in politics.

Silly me. I thought the Democratic Party head was supporting the Democratic Party candidate. Now I read in Spivey's piece that Jerry feels "violated." Seems to me "violated" applies to being shot, being mugged, having your window smashed in and your valuables stolen, the YWCA losing copper piping, Plainfield parents afraid to send their children to City schools, seniors afraid to leave home. But I'm so silly I'm a registered Republican. As an outsider, I think Jerry cost Rashid the election. Any violation there?
