Assembly huffs and puffs over hospital woes

What are Plainfielders to make of an Assembly committee's huffing and puffing over hospitals' ills yesterday?

As far as Muhlenberg is concerned, not much I'm afraid.

The proposed bills would --
  • Require training of hospital board trustees;
  • Require hospitals to hold at least one annual public meeting to discuss community concerns;
  • Prohibit charging uninsured patients more than 15% of the Medicare rate.
The second item -- on annual meetings -- is sponsored by Plainfield Assemblyman Jerry Green.

You will look in vain for anything that will help save Muhlenberg.

Where were these people when the troubles began?
