Sue to rescind the PMUA 'settlement'

Dan and friend at the San Diego Zoo, 1980.
Someone with legal standing -- either a group of Plainfield Municipal Utilities Authority (PMUA) ratepayers or the City Council -- needs to sue the agency to roll back the odious and morally unjustifiable 'settlement' to former execs Eric Watson and David Ervin immediately.

Nothing will help like an application of some good strong sunlight in the broad day of a courtroom.

The business reeks from top to bottom and cannot withstand the exposure to daylight.

Asm Jerry Green was certainly right about one thing -- fixing this mess will have to involve the courts.

Plainfield ratepayers deserve to be able to move on.

Welcome back Dan!! This PMUA settlement mess is just that! A mess!! Malcolm Dunn suggested recently in a Board of Commissioners meeting on Feb. 14th that each employee of PMUA should take 10 (TEN) furloughed UNPAID days take make up for the million dollar dibocle! This just goes to show how Plainfield will NEVER progress with people having their own agends, which are NOT condusive to the betterment of this town. What a shame!!

Dan - Hope you're coming along much better. It's good to get something from you.

I've heard plenty of talk about a lawsuit. Even in the meeting minutes, the profound and prophetic Malcolm Dunn is concerned about being shielded from such a suit. Let's make it happen.

And before someone comments about this is only being done because of color, I'm black and a homeowner, whatever color you are and you steal my money, you need to go down.

I'm glad to see you're coming back. We all missed you.

You're right. Malcolm Dunn was not a very good mayor and is an embarrassment to Plainfield. He's obviously trying to set a precident for when he leaves. I forgot how self-serving and deceitful he really is. I've asked if he can be removed and was told that is not an option. Maybe we need the City Council to make that an option!

Book 'em Danno, including your buddies Adrian and Annie who gave us the dynamic duo of Dunn and Sanders. It's time you realized who's got Plainfield's interests at heart and who is in it for themselves.

This has nothing to do with color, by the way I am of color and I agree we should file a lawsuit and let the chips fall where they may. What a disgrace.

The Watson / Ervin settlement is only a part of the iceberg. The Commissioners have been limited to $4500 yearly compensation from all sources by Statute. The Commissioners have been receiving FAMILY MEDICAL, PRESCRIPTION, DENTAL and VISUAL coverage in addition to the $4500 stipend. This year the premiums for these coverages will be a follows:

Toliver $15,876
Mitchell $22,344
Brown $ 7,200
Brokaw $16,148

On Monday, March 19, 2012, 7:00 pm, at the Washington School the Committee appointed by the City Council is making its report on their study of the PMUA. Please pass this information along to everyone you know. Let us try and get a massive turnout.PMUA employees who want to save their jobs should be there and voice their opposition to the irresponsible conduct of the Commissioners which is placing their jobs in jeopardy.

The council would love nothing more than a lawsuit. They would then claim that is why they can't do anything about the PMUA. We are being robbed by the PMUA yet no one does anything.

Where is Jerry Green? Probably taking his cut from Watson and Ervin.
