As of this afternoon, Dan will be back in Plainfield, at Norwood Terrace across from Richmond Towers. |
Nat will transfer me from JFK Rehab in Edison sometime after lunch and I should be 'ensconced' by mid-afternoon. The expected stay at Norwood is about two weeks after which I hope to go home.
Further rounds of intensive training on my new prosthesis will come later.
I hope that Norwood Gardens is as up-to-date at JFK in having wi-fi available and that I will be able to pick up blogging easily once I have 'landed'.

Excellent progress, Dan. Norwood is clean and has a great staff. Good luck and God speed.
Excellent, Dan!
Dan,you can do it!The loss of your limb should inspire you and others as well.
I know I miss Plainfield when I'm away for a while and healthy, so I know this is great for you. Good luck with your rehab.

I almost went there to rehab my first knee. It was highly recommended by folks. Instead, I just went home on my own. Now that I know where you are, you know where I am ... I'll be crossing the street to say hi!
Great progress. Dan. And wonderful reporting.
Norwood Terrace was my second choice after the new knee. I believe there is WiFi and I know great staff.
Norwood Director was active in Plainfield Chamebr of Commerce with me a few years back.
Be well, and keep improving. See you soon.
Jim and Dona and Dea.
Dan, Norwood has an excellent reputation and I'm glad you're there. I'm in the neighborhood frequently and would love to stop by after you get settled. I hope they have wi-fi!
They will take care of you just fine, but you have to take care of yourself when you get home! There is an excellent Kessler PT outpatient facility on Oak Tree Road just east of Park Avenue (right at the light by McD's)--Joe got great PT there after he came home last year and we were both very satisfied. You'll need a script from your doctor (but you knew that) and they take Medicare (for us geezers) as well as private HC insurance.
Good luck!
Glad you're back! Hope you get home soon.
