Asm Jerry Green and the late Mayor Al McWilliams at Walgreen's grand opening. |
To which I say, why not?
Jerry's long years of service in the Assembly have taught him the ins and outs of the game, for which he is as qualified as any number of others.
The question will be whether his elbows are sharp enough when it gets down to it.
Those who don't understand his role in Trenton should take a few minutes to familiarize themselves with his responsibilities.
Speaker Jerry Green?
The Assembly could do a lot worse.

If this means Old Slimey Green will become too busy to be involved in Plainfield politics then I say "All the Best to you Mr. ASSemblyman Gerald Green. Whoo Hoo!
Are you serious?? Green? He doesn't understand the basis of any bills. Don't play politics now that he's supporting Mapp and betraying Sharon. Whatever one's political persuasion don't be deceived. He is considered a jerk by those in power in his own party!
You suck up to Jerry Green very well!
Tsk..Tsk...
Dan is absolutely right. Jerry Green indeed knows the ins and outs of the game and how to handle them. And yes, he has deployed his sharp elbows on many things, but usually doesn't do it in public (I have learned this personally over the years). He has gained respect as a leader in the Assembly and does his homework. He would be a good choice and would do a very capable job.
Really? The man can't even put a together a sentence that's grammatically correct.
