Dem City Committee meeting tonight

 
Asm Jerry Green, chair of the Plainfield Democratic City Committee has called a meeting for tonight at 7 PM at the Heard One complex, 210 Church Street.

With less than a month to go to the November general election (Tuesday, November 8), the committee will get a pep talk and marching orders for the fall campaign season.

In the city races, Ward 2 incumbent Cory Storch and Wards 1/4 representative Vera Greaves will be on the ballot.

In the legislative races, all seats are up this year. The Democratic slate in the 22nd District includes incumbents Sen. Nick Scutari, Asm. Jerry Green and Asw. Linda Stender.

GOP challengers are Bill Michelson for the Ward 2 City Council seat and Plainfielder Joan Van Pelt and Middlesex Boro resident Jeff First in the Assembly race.


Visitors are always welcone at City Committee meetings but do not have the privilege of speaking without the prior consent of Chairman Green.

New Dems..lets forget the slander and chronic character assassinations Jerry routinely commits against you all for "the party".
It would be a pleasure to see a bunch of the New Dems stand up and actually create "disorder" and call him out. Start a new chapter at that point...but that is...a dream, no?

Dan- I'm not certain of the composition of the City Committee, however, Yom Kippur begins at 6:32 this evening. Isn't the timing of the meeting rather insensitive?
