BOE: Food service on the chopping block?

Logo of the Plainfield school district's longtime
food services provider.

Is the Plainfield Board of Ed putting its longtime food services vendor Sodexo on the chopping block?

That's the hottest rumor from the teachers' lounge this week, and that the rumored move is to make way for another food vendor with whom a longtime Plainfield entrepreneur has a business connection.

And you thought the business of the schools was educating the children?

This is New Jersey, where every stool has three legs: contracts to the politically juiced, jobs to the politically dependent, and whatever the third leg is.

Not to worry, the 'i's will be dotted and the 't's will be crossed, I'm sure.

Meanwhile, the Interim Superintendent is slated to make a presentation on 'restructuring schools' at tonight's Work/Study session. To include Maxson and Hubbard Middle Schools, and Cook Elementary School.

The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived & dishonest, But the myth, persistent, persuasive & unrealistic.

The Grand Slam got the lawyers and the food service contracts. Glad to see where their priorities are.

We deserve everything we get for electing them. There is no focus on education just lining up the politics and pockets of the Ca.....lls who dont and never had kids in the district.
