14th Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival this weekend

Plainfield's 14th annual Hispanic Heritage Festival is being held this weekend on North Avenue between Park and Watchung Avenues.

Running from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, the free event includes rides for youngsters, ethnic foods and music. Performers include Pedro Manual y su Orquestra Sensacional, El Potrillo Veliz, and Norberto Chavez in addition to a DJ.

The event, which for severl years was held in the parking lot of United National Bank draws large crowds to enjoy the music, offerings by vendors and food from local restaurants.
