Problem is there are two things she DOESN'T want to talk about --
THE $15,000 CHECK FROM INVESTORS BANKI am reminded of Oscar Levant's famous remark about the squeaky-clean girl-next-door image of actress and singer Doris Day, 'I knew her before she was a virgin' (see here).
Far as I'm concerned, and as far as the Investors Bank people have told the Council investigator and Councilor Storch has also repeated: Investors Bank gave the money for the July 4th Celebration and nothing else. They are being nice people in not signing a complaint against her for misappropriation of funds -- which is what it appears to be, by my lights. Investors is the party that would have to complain, not the Council. The fact that they haven't hardly makes Mayor Robinson-Briggs innocent.
THE 'EMERGENCY' SHE CLAIMS
She stepped in it when she claimed to be acting in light of a public emergency. The conditions under which a Mayor may take emergency actions are quite circumscribed and include memorialization by the governing body subsequent to the emergency. You will note our Sharon did not follow the rules in either regard.
Something many of us can also say about Mayor Robinson-Briggs.

As a former City employee, a resident wanted to donate something to the City and I was advised by Corporation Counsel the gift had to be approved by city Council. And if the gift was in cash, it could only go into the general account and not to a specific operating fund.
Guess I was advised wrong
Shady Sharonda strikes again and the people of Plainfield are not amused. The only people who buy her baloney are the ones on the City Council who kiss her you know what all the time and friens and family who have profited from her being mayor.
Perhaps Sharon feels this will help her raise funds for her re-election. NEWS FLASH, SHARON! WE'RE DONE WITH YOU MESSING UP PLAINFIELD AND GIVING THE VOTERS THE SHORT END OF THE STICK, SO TAKE THE HINT!
Doris Day was every red blooded male's secret passion.
