The corrected Union County section of the Ledger's election map.
Justice came for Plainfield voters at 3:55 PM on Friday afternoon.
That is when the Ledger posted the revised graphic of New Jersey's county-by-county voting pattern for the 2008 Presidential election (you can see the story here, and the corrected map [PDF] here).
Here is how Plainfield voted, per the Ledger's Friday table --
PLAINFIELD VOTES | |
FOR PRESIDENT | |
Obama | McCain |
14,498 | 1,035 |
FOR SENATE | |
Lautenberg | Zimmer |
11,659 | 1,153 |
The map now squares with its explanatory legend.
Wouldn't want future historians to puzzle over Plainfielders seemingly being seized by any madness of crowds and abandoning their reliably Democratic voting patterns to back a maverick, would we?
Now, we can get on to more serious topics.
Coming up next week: City Council continues to slog its way through the budget process.
