The Plainfield Municipal Utilities Authority's new Environmental Resource Center will be open for guided tours beginning at 10 AM today, per the PMUA News.
Formerly known as the Transfer Station, the Rock Avenue facility has undergone significant renovations to streamline PMUA operations.
The ceremony marks the completion of the third phase of a years-long process which included an investment by the PMUA of approximately $1M to improve the facility and remediate soil contamination from the days when the facility belonged to the City of Plainfield.
You will want to check out the improvements to this essential agency's ability to fulfill its mission.
The Environmental Resource Center is at 95 Rock Avenue, between Comcast and the Plainfield Area Humane Society.
