Three councilors will be sworn in: Rebecca Williams for her second term as Wards 2/3 at-large Councilor, Diane Toliver as Ward 1 representative, and Gloria Taylor for the balance of Mayor Mapp's unexpired term as Councilor for Ward 3.
The most suspenseful moments of the evening are likely to be the election of a Council President and chairperson of the committee of the whole for 2015.
Once the Council is reorganized and seated, Mayor Adrian O. Mapp will deliver his second 'State of the City' address, as required by the city charter.
The balance of the meeting is mostly pro-forma appointments made at the beginning of each calendar year.
