Blank-Fest concert today for homeless displaced by Sandy

 
Plainfielders wanting to show support for those left homeless by Hurricane Sandy can do so at today's Blank-Fest VII concert in Linden.

For the seventh year, Blank-Fest will be gathering donations of blankets, winter coats and cash (suggested $5 donation for entry) at the all-day music fest organized by Rich Kubicz and held at Linden's The Cup.

Groups are scheduled as follows --

1:30 - Phillip's Head
2:30 - Splooge

3:30 - New Tricks

4:30 - Stupid Should Hurt

5:30 - Mike Zuko

6:30 - Bell Bottom Blues (tribute to Eric Clapton)

7:30 - Bubba Grouch

8:30 - Damn The Torpedoes (tribute to Tom Petty)

All donations benefit Bridgeway Rehab Services (see more here) and Monarch Housing Associates (see more here).

NOTE: Bridgeway Rehab is New Jersey's largest mental health services agency, with over 200 employees in 17 locations serving 1,500 clients with mental health needs. Bridgeway's executive director is Plainfield Councilor Cory Storch.
