Make tomorrow count.
First, get out of bed.
Second, VOTE.
Tomorrow is Primary Day. The polls are open from 6 AM to 8 PM.
Most of the action is with the Dems, in part because this is the year that City Committee representatives are elected (Republicans get their turn next year).
This means that every one of the 34 voting districts in Plainfield will have candidates for a male and female rep to the Plainfield Democratic City Committee.
In addition, the Second Ward seat has a contested Democratic primary, between incumbent Councilor Cory Storch and challenger Tony Rucker.
The winner of that contest will face GOP candidate Deborah Dowe in the November general election.
There is no primary contest in the Ward 1&4 council race, meaning the Democratic and Republican nominess will face off in November.
My expectation is that the Scutari-Green-Stender votes will be a romp-in-the-park exercise.
Say a kind word to a poll worker while you're there. It's a really long day for them.
