Well-wishes for Assemblyman Green

Assemblyman Jerry Green.

Plainfield Assemblyman and Union County Democratic chairperson Jerry Green handily won re-election on Tuesday and continues as New Jersey's longest-serving Assemblyman.

When I first landed in JFK on October 20, visitors reported to me that they spotted the Assemblyman in a room in the same ward where I was being treated. Aside from that tidbit, I have been unable to learn anything more of his health or whether he is still at JFK or recuperating at home.

However, those who attended the Union County election celebration in Clark told me that the Assemblyman was not present, but wishes were made for his "recuperation".

I find it ironic that Jerry and I -- after all these years of being antagonists -- would find ourselves with similar health issues.

Jerry, if you're reading this, I send you my best wishes for recovered health.
