A generous reader purchased the 'hometown' $10 bill issued by Plainfield's First National Bank in 1929 offered on eBay and is donating it to the Plainfield Public Library (see original post here).
Anyone who feels badly about missing their opportunity to do the deed can still pitch in and help.
You will note in CLIPS online links today a story by Courier beat reporter Mark Spivey detailing some of the cuts the city has made to Library funding (see here).
Donations in support of the Plainfield Public Library and its programs are always welcome -- whether you wish to make a contribution by check, or to remember the Library in your estate planning.
Call the Library's administrative offices at (908) 757-2305 for more information.
