The 4th of July parade always recharges my batteries.
Not because of the pols on parade, but because ordinary folks of every kind come out to parade their causes, celebrate their pride in America's promise, and renew their hopes for her better future. And the kids, who take it all in with wide and eager eyes, are the ones who will see it when it comes. Herewith, a selection of sights from yesterday's parade...
