Longtime Plainfield activist Jo-Ann Sloane is gravely ill and in Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center.
Jo-Ann is known professionally for her work among military veterans through the Lyons VA hospital and with the homeless through the YMCA of Greater Plainfield. She has also been active in Democratic circles, serving as treasurer for the late Mayor Al McWilliams' campaign committees, as well as for United Plainfield, a fund in support of advancing Plainfield.
She is in Muhlenberg's hospice care on Stevens 4, where friends may make brief visits at their convenience.
