Boys & Girls Club 'Day for Kids' Sunday

The Plainfield Boys and Girls Club will host a 'Day for Kids' on Sunday from Noon to 6 PM at Washington Commuity School.

The jam-packed day has two focuses -- providing a lot of fun time together for kids and parents, and offering access to information and support organizations dedicated to helping provide parenting skills and family resources.

The fun will include field events like 3-legged races, water balloon tosses and mini-golf.

A lot of kids are also looking forward to the pie-eating and hula hoop contests.

The event has financial support from Comcast, Prevention Links, the Union County Prosecutor's Office and the City of Plainfield.

Cooperating agencies include the Girl Scouts (Washington Rock Council), Boy Scouts (Patriot's Path Council), Queen City Academy, Plainfield Chamber of Commerce, Plainfield Health Center, Plainfield Area YMCA, Homefirst, Plainfield/North Plainfield Rotary Club and Vacamas Programs for Youth.

Pie-eating contest? Yummm........
