Bender's Huge House Sale Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Stroll on by 965 West 7th Street.

Patty and Bob Bender, longtime Plainfield residents, peace activists and musicians (ask them to tell you Pete Seeger stories!) are having a huge house sale this afternoon (3 - 6 PM), and Saturday and Sunday (10 AM - 5 PM) at 965 West Seventh Street.

What'll you find?

Dining room and kitchen tables and chairs, sleeper sofa, trundle bed and other furniture; books; tools and miscellaneous workshop items; window air conditioner units; darkroom equipment; artwork, kitchen items and games.

Did I forget to mention books? Lots of books -- and some rare treats. (I know. I found an out-of-print Dimitroff title from the 1930s!)

Many have asked what's going on with the sale.

As Patty recently told me, now that they have a toehold in Florida -- and really enjoy the nice, warm winters there -- they are selling the house to their son and daughter-in-law Nat and Kelly Bender.

Updating the house and making it ready for new occupants and a nook for Patty and Bob (when it's not cold and snowy here) mean everyone has to get out -- including the 'stuff'.

So, stroll on by and help our good friends Patty and Bob sail into the next steps.

Oh, and bringing your own bags (and maybe some to leave behind) would be a big help.
