Primary Day: Get more rush voting the 'A Team' all the way

This illustration, courtesy of Rebecca Williams, reminds us
of Plainfield's many Rushmore connections.
If you're in Ward 3, don't forget Charlie!

Today is Primary Election Day. Polls are open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Unaffiliated voters may declare a party registration at the table to vote in the party primaries.

Our congresswoman, Bonnie Watson Coleman, will visit Plainfield Democratic Headquarters at 11:00 AM Tuesday to rally the troops and get out the vote. Headquarters is at 31 Watchung Avenue (next to Antojito's restaurant).

i will be voting for Plainfield's "Column A" candidates --
  • Rebecca Williams for Citywide Councilor at-large
  • Charles McRae for Ward 3 Councilor
  • Linda Carter for Union County Freeholder
They are joined by Freeholder candidates Kowalski and Granados, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman and -- at the top of the ticket -- Hillary Clinton, who was declared the presumptive Democratic nominee by the AP on Monday evening.

Our Republican friends will be voting for their Republican City Committee members, as well as candidates for Freeholder, Congress and President.

Democrats will gather at party headquarters after the polls close at 8:00 PM to await the tallies and share a light supper.
