Wilma Campbell's old buddy is back in the news. |
Former Plainfield schools superintendent Steve Gallon III is in the news again.
A story Wednesday in The Miami Times notes that Gallon is running for a seat on the Miami-Dade Public Schools Board (see story here).
Gallon, a personal pick of current Plainfield Board of Ed president Wilma Campbell, is running against a two-term Miami district incumbent.
Gallon says he was persuaded by others to run and that he has decided to "step back in the public realm in education."
He has the backing of a nonprofit concerned with urban education.
His misadventures in Plainfield are not mentioned.
