Jerry Green flatters Mapp

Mother's Day greetings from Jerry Green and crew.

 

If, as they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Plainfield Assemblyman and Democratic chair Jerry Green has paid a very high compliment indeed to Mayor Adrian Mapp.

For several years now, Mapp-aligned Democrats have opened the primary campaign season with a mailing recognizing Plainfield moms, scheduled to arrive in residents' mailboxes in the days before Mothers Day.

This year, Jerry Green has glommed on to the idea with his own Mother's Day greeting, which arrived in Thursday's mail.

Don't recognize the ladies pictured on the piece? Perhaps no one local would pose for Green's crew -- the picture is a paid-for stock commercial photograph.

The photograph of Green and crew, though, is anything but flattering. Green has a cadaverous look; the suit looks like a "laying-out" outfit.

Assemblyman Green's most memorable use of the word "mother"...

But the most unflattering part is that the mailer reminds us of Jerry Green's most unflattering use of the word "mother" -- as in "I run this mother****er" -- see the video here.
