Council snit turns Mapp video into hit

Mayor Adrian Mapp addressed the residents of Plainfield
on his agenda for the City.

In a sign it may have shot itself in the foot, the Plainfield City Council's snit over Mayor Mapp's PCTV video advocating his agenda for the city has turned the video into a hit.

The YouTube version of the video has picked up almost 200 views since I posted it to Plainfield Today yesterday, about half again the numbers of views before that point. (It is also broadcast on Plainfield's public access TV station, for which no viewership figures are available.)

Council President Bridget Rivers has called a special meeting for 8:00 PM this evening in the City Hall Library. The only item of business will be a discussion of the video and a proposed resolution disapproving of the video and referring it to the NJ Local Government Ethics Board.

What is all the fuss about? Check out the video and offer your thoughts.

I received a call with these questions and told the poller that based on the questions I recognized that they were coming from Jerry Green and Sharon Briggs. I was very insulted and told the poller to pass my issues to Green and Briggs. Green is angry that Mapp won the election. Too Bad. Votes like actions have consequences. Maybe Green and Briggs should have done more for the city...like keeping Muhlenberg open or bring more business to Plainfield, supporting the Raritan Vally Line into NYC to make travel easier for city residents, better code enforcement. The list goes on.

As far as the council resolution goes, they need to be careful because they too can be replaced!

The "fuss" is that certain members of the City Council don't want the public to know how they are working to hold the city back from moving forward. I hope voters become aware of Rivers, et al's bad behavior and they show it in their vote. Way to go Adrian! Did you see the New Dem ad last night during Big Bang Theory on tv. Great!

Mapp is intelligent and thoughtful as is his VIDEO.
Gloria isn't her dear husband Rick and knew him longer than Gloria did Rick made OK decisions
AND Jerry went to Union HS,
Some of his fellow students also worked and/or lived in Pld!
ALL did a lot better for PLAINFIELD and then some moved up and away>>>
ALL of all races!
