Plainfield Dem City Committee: Candidates revealed tonight?

Plainfield's Democratic City Committee meets tonight at 7 PM at the YWCA's Terrace Room, corner of East Front and Church Streets.

With candidate filings due on Monday, all eyes are on Chairman Jerry Green and nominations for mayor, Ward 4 councilor and city committee seats.

Will nominations be allowed from the floor?

Will rumored candidates besides Sharon Robinson-Briggs have a chance at the brass ring? (Said to be interested in running are PMUA chairperson Carol Brokaw, ex-City employee Martin Cox, PMUA employee and former councilor Bob Ferraro, and current Wards 1/4 councilor Linda Carter.)

Will all be revealed?

Or very little?

Traditionally, guests are welcome at PDCC meetings.

Assemblyman Green really know how to reinvent his squeeky wheels. Mrs Vera Graves and her husband started their political career under the New Dems. New Dems keep up the good work he;s really trying to follow in your foot steps

Now Dan you know councilwomen Linda Carter is not interested in running for Mayor. She just a ploy. You know the way the assemblyman operates. Poision

" Will nominations be allowed from the floor?"

I wonder if nominations for the New Dem mayoral candidate were allowed. Was that an open process? Could anyone apply to become the candidate for the New Dems ticket? How about the 2-6 committee? Was that an open process?

Or were these smoke-filled room nominations.

I wonder...hmmmmmm...
