An email in my inbox Sunday invited me to "like" Plainfield's official Facebook page -- which you can view here.
This is a welcome addition to the communications offerings of the city and provides those who prefer their news and updates via social media another option to find out what's going on -- both city-sponsored and community-sponsored activities are listed.
While the page seems to have been tested in August, there is a flurry of postings in the past few days.
The Facebook page supplements the Mayor's weekly email newsletter (call 908-753-3310 to subscribe if you are not already on the blast), and the City's emergency communications systems (Nixle here, and PCMS here).
Visit the Facebook page and "like" it to get updates on your Facebook page continually.
