New fencing graces Shakespeare Garden

New rustic fencing was put up over the summer.

Over the summer months, new fencing has been installed at Plainfield's world famous Shakespeare Garden in Cedar Brook Park.

The new rustic fencing shown above replaces the original picket fencing shown below.

Along with a new pergola installed a few years ago and repairs to the stone wall, the infrastructure of the garden has now been significantly upgraded.

And, of course, we have the ladies (and now gentlemen) of the Plainfield Garden Club to thank for their faithful efforts to fill the garden year after year with plants mentioned in the works of Shakespeare.

Lest you think the Shakespeare Garden is a summer-only space, you should stop by and see it in its glorious fall colors.

Plainfield's Shakespeare Garden is in Cedar Brook Park near the Randolph Road exit adjacent to the cricket pitch.
