Plainfield's Board of Ed will take up the report on the state's investigation into the hiring of three of Superintendent Steve Gallon's top aides.
The report, which casts the affair in an unflattering light, mandate the Board to adopt a 'corrective action plan' that must be approved by County Superintendent of Schools Carmen Centuolo.
(I'll take this up in more depth later -- jury duty today.)
The public portion of the Board of Ed meeting is slated to start at 8:00 PM at the district headquarters (Jefferson School), 1200 Myrtle Avenue.

I hope that everyone reads Jay Jefferson Cooke's column in the Courier News today sometimes he hits the nail right on the head
And Plainfield was the topic of discussion on NJ 101.5 this morning...again, our city is cast in SUCH a wonderful light..ahhhh Plainfield.
king Gerry Green wanted to control the School Board and City Hall, look at the mess he has made. It has become a very $$ expensive kingdom for the tax paying citizens.
Interesting comment by anon 8:35 am, but the fact is that the new democrats faction has controlled the board of education for some time. It's always nice to be able to blame Mr. Green but you can't blame him for our current mess.
