Plainfield could use red-light cams, too

Recent accident at 7th & Central.

Plainfielders may well wonder where the line forms for the new red-light cameras the State is funding to monitor traffic intersections (see story here).

There are many intersections around town where I have seen accidents, but Seventh Street seems particularly prone -- especially at Central Avenue (as in the photo above) and Plainfield Avenue.

Since Seventh Street is also County Route 601, one would hope that City officials have asked Union County for consideration at some point.

Wouldn't one?
