The Council holds its April business meeting on Monday, April 10 at 8:00 PM at the Council Chambers / Courthouse, East 4th Street and Watchung Avenue.Candidates must file their notarized petitions for elective office with the County Clerk's office by 4:00 PM. Local races include Plainfield's mayor, Ward 4, and Wards 2/3 at-large. In addition, the Plainfield Democratic City Committee's 68 seats will be up for election at the June Primary.MONDAY - 7:30 PM

Plainfield's Planning Board meets in City Hall Library. Among the items expected to be discussed at this meeting are next steps in the development of the former Muhlenberg Hospital site. The Board meets in the City Hall Library. Parking and entry at the rear of the building.
