Numbers were projected on a sheet at Dem headquarters as they came in. These unofficial tallies include absentee ballots. |
Winners Rebecca Williams and Charles McRae stand with Democratic City Committee chair Adrian O. Mapp (r.) and Williams' campaign manager, Jim Spear. McRae's manager, Robin Bright, is out of the frame. |
Rebecca Williams bested the Rev. Tracey Brown to secure the nomination as the party's standard bearer for the Citywide at-large seat in the November general election.
Charles McRae steamrolled Alma Blanco to represent the Dems in the Ward 3 November race.
The unofficial tallies are in the screenshot above of the returns (absentee ballots included) displayed at Dem headquarters as the results came in.
Freeholder candidates Linda Carter, Betty Jane Kowalski and Sergio Granados were joined by Bonnie Watson Coleman as victors.
County Clerk Joanne Rajoppi will certify the results in the next several days.
I learned mid-afternoon Tuesday that Charles McRae will face a zombie candidate in the Ward 3 race -- former Mayor Sharon Robinson-Briggs has filed to run as an independent.
And away we go!
