Hidden Plainfield: Ready for rebirth

After being ravaged by fire, house is preparing to be 'reborn'.

Plainfield Fire Division tackles the fire (middle) and shot of the building after the fire.
Recent fires on East 4th Street and North Avenue were in the back of my mind while planning today's Hidden Plainfield post.

Today's Hidden Plainfield is a home 'preparing for rebirth' after being devastated by a fire.

The fire, earlier this year, was covered in Plainfield Today.

Do you know where today's property is?

This is the DirecTV receiving center on Arlington Ave. that is typical of many DirecTV receiving centers throughout the city. The architectural style features numerous innovative satellite dish configurations that often outnumber the number of families the center is zoned for. Keep your eyes peeled for more of this style. They are very popular in many neighborhoods.

Is it over by Arlington Avenue?

This is on Arlington Avenue near the intersection with Rose Street, or so I remember from the reporting of the fire. Who would have thought fire-charred clapboard would look better than vinyl siding?
