Postal workers' food drive today -- put out your nonperishable items

Plainfield postal patrons are invited to participate in the 18th annual 'Stamp Out Hunger' food drive sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers (see website here), says Plainfield activist, postal worker and local NALC leader Nancy Piwowar.

Put out nonperishable canned goods or boxed items near your mailbox today.

Your postal carrier will collect the items when delivering the mail.

All food items gathered in Plainfield, North Plainfield, Warren and Watchung go to food pantries operated by FISH, StarFish, and the Somerset County Food Bank.

Do it now, while you're thinking about.

And thanks.
